“Thank you! Max had an amazing time. Thank you so much for making it a fun, safe, connected space for the teens! Getting to know the adults was a highlight for Max. He really liked getting to know everyone.”

~Ellie P.

River Dancers teams up with CoCreative Coaching to provide 5 days and 5 nights of adventure on the Lower Klamath River for teenagers from 12-16.

Plan on a fully immersive experience.

Teenagers will learn about indigenous cultures, river ecology and geology, environmental issues relating to rivers, useful and edible plants, and outdoor survival skills. They’ll also swim rapids, learn to guide a whitewater raft and kayak, and help out with cooking and camp life.

At night, we’ll fix amazing food, hang out, tell stories, and sleep under endless starry skies.

Our focus is on creating a community and working together.

We’ll start our community connection before the trip with a zoom circle dedicated to introductions, questions, and just spending a little time getting to know each other, so when your teen shows up to the camp, they’ll already see some familiar faces. Throughout the school year we‘ll continue to nurture the friendships made on the trip with two more zoom circles.

It’s 5 days of education, empowerment, adventure, and fun.

On the river, guides will introduce guiding and river reading concepts and will quickly pass off guiding responsibilities to the teens. Kayaks and the 8 foot Mini-Me raft will also be available for use.

This section of the river is considered a Class III, with plenty of time in between each rapid to frolic in the river. We’ll start our trip by hiking up Ukonom Creek to our destination of Ukonom Falls, a hidden gem. As we make our way down the river, we’ll be camping alongside the shore each night.

A Klamath River Trip is much more than being on the water. It’s about the journey, the friendships, great food, swimming, stories, games, and hikes. And there’s plenty of wildlife to see! Otters, bears, and bald eagles, oh my!

By the end of your journey, you’ll want to keep going on down the river. Come join us and experience a trip you’ll never forget!

“We had such a blast coming out, she had great things to say about you guys and all she learned. She sang us a song that Theo taught them….it was so beautiful, it gave me chills. Grateful.”
